Another great lesson! Suleiman, and myself practiced Kiswahili by having a nice conversation. If you're thinking about learning Swahili, Suleiman is your teacher! It's ok to make mistakes! I had many, and he pointed them out, so I could learn from them. After that, we would continue on. At the end of the class, Suleiman gave me a positive re-enforcer by his kind words of encouragement. I will continue to learn Swahili...no turning back! I'm so grateful to have Italki, and Suleiman as my teacher.

We continued to study the irregular Swahili verbs, this class we discussed the usage of the verb Kuwa ko. We also talked about a lot of cultural matters regarding Swahili and Tanzania. It was very interesting, since one of the best things about learning a new language is delving into the culture to which it belongs. Asante sana Sule, tutaonana baadaye!

I immediately felt comfortable as Suleiman made sure to involve me and encourage me to try. His approach is what pushed me to book more lessons. I'll continue with him and would encourage anyone interested in Swahili to try lessons with him.
