My name is Bergur and I am here to teach Faroese, a close relative of Icelandic and Old Norse I try to embrace diversity (Faroese: "Fjølbroytni", Danish: "Mangfoldighed") by simply being myself.
I love how languages share so many similarities that can be analysed and interpreted. One of my favourite things is to uncover a unique trait is uncovered, some description or nuance that I didn’t know existed and that can help me appreciate life and the world in an even broader way (no pun intended).
I believe that languages are the peak of human civilisations’ endeavours to distill existence as we experience it, felt or imagined into a concentrate or an essence that can be displayed for prestige or even better, humbly handed down to future generations.
