Certified native teacher with 20 years of experience and a PhD degree in Linguistics I have 20 years of experience teaching Spanish and 10 years teaching Italian both in companies and in schools and universities. I also do review, correction and translation of papers and academic articles for academic degree, professional qualification, master's theses and doctoral dissertations in Spanish language . I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).

I have over 6 years of experience in teaching Spanish and English and hold a C2 Proficiency qualification from Cambridge, as well as a TESOL Certificate from Arizona State University. I also have experience in teaching students with ADHD and with reading and writing difficulties, such as dyslexia. Additionally, I hold a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, which, along with several other certificates, allows me to better understand the needs of the student related to teaching and education. Certified Spanish Teacher with 5 years of experience on Italki I enjoy reflecting upon language, and I encourage my students to do so, not only to learn Spanish, but also to discover things about their own native language. As a teacher, I consider myself creative and practical, I can come up with activities and exercises on the spot to make my lessons more dynamic and fun, and I try to keep things simple and clear when a student is having a hard time with a topic that is difficult to understand. I know some topics can be harder than others, and not all students learn at the same pace, which is why I'm also very patient and respectful of my students' learning needs.

As a teacher, I believe the most important thing for a student is to feel comfortable while learning. I try my best to make students feel engaged, and motivated to practice and learn while they do most of the talking, even if they're just starting out.
