Por que será que às vezes quando conversamos com um brasileiro ou escutamos algum diálogo entre brasileiros não entendemos completamente o que ele(s) diz(em)? Às vezes parece que os brasileiros falam tudo pela metade e, realmete, em algumas situações é justamente isso o que acontece. 私にとってドイツ語は日本語、英語の次に第二か国語として習得した言語です。実はドイツ語に元々興味があったわけではなく、オーストリアに住むことになったのがきっかけでした。しかし、勉強し始めて気付いたことはドイツ語はとてもたくさんルールがあって複雑だけれど、とても理にかなった言語だということでした。ルールが多いけれど、例外はあまりなく、間違えてしまったときもルールを見返すと納得できることがとても多いです。友達はパズルみたいで楽しい言語だと言っていました。私もそう思います。

ドイツ語の勉強を始めた日本人が最初に違和感を抱くのは多分、名詞に性があることです。ドイツ語には男性名詞、女性名詞、中性名詞があり、それを覚えておく必要があります。日本語は名詞に性がないのでこの考え方は日本人にはありません。私もドイツ語の前は日本語と英語しか知らなかったので最初はとても変な感じがしました。今はもうなんとも思いませんが…。

ところで、オーストリアに住んでいた時は、毎日ドイツ語を使っていたし、語学学校にも通っていたので流暢に話すことができたんですが、最近は使う機会がめっきりなくなり、ドイツ語力がかなり落ちてしまいました。とてもショックなので今年の夏は日本で実施されているドイツ語の試験である独検（どっけん）を受けました。無事に合格できましたが、現役時代のドイツ語レベルと比較するとまだまだです。実は今年、友達の結婚式でオーストリアに行ったんですが、自分のドイツ語力が落ちすぎていてびっくりしました。折角頑張って一度は自信を持って話したり、書いたりできた言語なのでこのまま忘れてしまうのはとても勿体ないですよね。来年も家族や友達に会ったりするためにオーストリアに行くつもりなので今からドイツ語の練習をして備えておきます。
