In 2018, I taught English to foreign learners (Indonesians). Now I teach Indonesian to foreigners. They mainly come from Germany, Netherlands, UK, and Philippines. Therefore, I’m experienced in teaching both English and Indonesian to non-native speakers.

I was very blessed with many great teachers when I was studying in school. Many of my colleagues at school are also very inspiring teachers. Their presence always reminds me that being a teacher is learning to serve and be a blessing to others. I hope that my presence can inspire and answer the needs of the people I teach. As a teacher, I am so happy if my students can be open up and give feedback on my teaching so that I can teach them better.

So, it may come as a surprise that I am fluent in English. Over time, I have discovered effective and enjoyable methods that helped me learn a completely different language from my mother tongue. I believe that the key to learning a new language is to start with the student's interests. Therefore, I always use their interests as an approach to learning the language, be it English or Indonesian.

Both required me to speak Indonesian and English. One thing I love about teaching is that I learned so much from my young students, I tried to fit in, to understand what they really need throughout lessons. Thus, I found joy in fulfilling my students needs and see their improvement. By making sure that I teach in a way that they like, i found it easier to make them comprehend lessons and that truly is my aim as a teacher.

I usually develop my own material to suit each student's need because I believe that they have different purposes in learning a language and learning styles. That's why I usually customize my material for them.
