Mostly Conversation Practice! Speak it till you make it! As a teacher I always try to figure out what each individual person needs to practice. That is why I like to have a simple conversation the first lesson and ask what the student wants to study and see what level they are in. I always try to make the lesson contents according to the students level. While teaching I always try to make sure my students speaks and expresses themselves as much as possible and I'll always encourage them and also fill in the blanks to give them a little push so they won't be stopping in the middle of the sentence.

I do have some experience in teaching people in wide range of age, from toddlers to the elderly, including teaching languages or knowledge. Since it is likely that you're highly interested in learning language, I would love to share how awesome it is to work your brain and trick it into thinking that your target language is your mother tongue. ;) But... I mostly focus on sharing and having deeper understanding of a person which will give me insight on how to bring improvement in the best way. And that usually brings my improvement as well.
