Hi and wecome to todays Podcast I’m Cher and today I will be talking about habits. We all know that habits are essential to our health. Let’s face it managing our health and staying disciplined is not sexy but it is important. By building habits we create a routine and an environment that makes a healthy lifestyle automatic.

내일은 '발렌타인데이'예요. 
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
그래서 오늘 마트에 갔어요.
So I went to the mart.
마트에서 초콜릿 두 개하고 케이크 한 개를 샀어요.
At the mart, I bought two chocolates and a cake.
모두 25000원이었어요. 
In total, it was 25000won.
저는 가게에서 꽃도 샀어요. 
I also bought flowers at a store.
꽃이 조금 비싸지만 아주 예뻐요.
Flowers are a bit expensive but very pretty.
집에서 한국어로 편지를 썼어요. 
At home I wrote a letter in Korean.
내일 아침에  편지랑 케이크랑 초콜릿이랑 꽃을 
남자친구한테 줄 거예요.
Tomorrow morning, I will give a letter and a cake and chocolate and flowers to my boyfriend.

日本の食卓事情２

日本では外食（がいしょく）は高（たか）いし、栄養（えいよう）が偏（かたよ）るから自炊（じすい）が一番（いちばん）良（よ）いと考（かんが）える人が多い気がする。あっさりしたメニューの次（つぎ）の日は味（あじ）の濃（こ）い献立（こんだて）にしたり、和食（わしょく）が続（つづ）けば、中華（ちゅうか）料理（りょうり）や韓国（かんこく）料理・イタリアン風（ふう）など様々（さまざま）な国（くに）の料理も作（つく）ったり、色（いろ）んな料理を作るために家（いえ）に常備（じょうび）している調味料（ちょうみりょう）の種類（しゅるい）もかなり多い。料理好（ず）きなら分かるが、料理することが苦痛（くつう）なら作らなければいいのに、なぜここまで頑張（がんば）るのか。

私の趣味は言語の勉強です。スペイン語とタイ語とドイツ語の勉強をしています。その中でも今日はタイ語の勉強について話してみたいと思います。

私とタイ語の出会いは2年前です。タイに3か月滞在する機会があったので暇潰しとしてタイ語でもかじってみようかなと思ったのがきっかけです。そこで世界中の国々からのクラスメイトと仲良くなって一緒にタイ語を勉強していくうちに、せっかく3か月勉強してきたんだから、ここでやめるのは勿体ないんじゃないか、もっと上手くなりたいと思うようになりました。タイ語の先生がとても良い先生だったことも関係していると思います。
それからタイ語の練習という口実で今まで4回ほどタイに行って毎回2、3か月滞在しています。今では基本的な会話ができるようになって、タイ人の友達も何人かできて、タイでの生活もますます楽しくなりました。

元々タイの文化に興味があったとかではないんですが、困った時に助けてくれたタイ人の優しさや、日本人にはない寛容さがあるところに徐々に惹かれていきました。私の今の目標はタイ人の先生や友達ともっと楽しくタイ語で話せるようになることです。まだまだ道のりは長そうですが、2年前は挨拶もできなかったレベルだったので毎日の勉強を継続して頑張りたいと思います。
