皆さんは、続けることが得意ですか？日本には「継続は力なり」という言葉があります。小さなことでも続ければ、力になるという意味で、本当にその通りだと思います。では、どうしたら続けられるのでしょうか？
Are you good at keeping going? There is a saying in Japan: 'Continuation is power'. It means that if you keep on doing even small things, they will become your strength, and I think this is very true. So how can you keep going?

皆(みな)さんこんにちは。日本語(にほんご)の小噺(こばなし)です。今日(きょう)は「継続(けいぞく)は力(ちから)なり」について話(はな)したいと思(おも)います。「継続(けいぞく)」と言(い)うのは何(なに)かを続(つづ)ける事(こと)です。何(なに)かを続(つづ)けることを少し難(むずか)しい言葉(ことば)で「継続(けいぞく)」といいます。「継続(けいぞく)は力(ちから)なり」の「なり」は昔(むかし)の言葉(ことば)で「だ／です」という意味(いみ)になります。だから、「継続(けいぞく)は力(ちから)なり」というのは、ちょっと昔(むかし)の言葉(ことば)で「続(つづ)けることは力(ちから)です」という意味(いみ)になります。
皆(みな)さんは何(なに)か続(つづ)けている事(こと)はありますか？私(わたし)は朝(あさ)のラジオ体操(たいそう)をもう7年(ななねん)ぐらいやってます。あと、トランポリンもコロナが始(はじ)まってから、ほぼ毎日(まいにち)やっています。若(わか)い時(とき)は私(わたし)はとても続(つづ)けるのが苦手で、日本にも「三日坊主(みっかぼうず)」と言(い)う言葉(ことば)があって、3日(みっか)だけやって4日目(よっかめ)にやめてしまうっていう言葉(ことば)があるんですが、私(わたし)も若(わか)い頃(ころ)は、三日坊主(みっかぼうず)だったり1週間坊主(いっしゅうかんぼうず)だったりしてました。でも、最近(さいきん)、ちょっと続(つづ)けられるようになってきました。
どうしたら続(つづ)けられるのか？それは習慣化(しゅうかんか)することです。習慣(しゅうかん)になれば続(つづ)けることは大変(たいへん)じゃなくなります。なぜなら習慣(しゅうかん)ですから！習慣(しゅうかん)というのは、例(たと)えば、朝(あさ)起(お)きたら顔(かお)を洗(あら)うとか歯(は)を磨(みが)くとか、そのような普通(ふつう)にやってることのことですね。じゃあどうやったら習慣(しゅうかん)になるのか。3つコツがあると思(おも)います。
人間(にんげん)は自分(じぶん)に言い訳(いいわけ)をする生き物(いきもの)です。ですから、できるだけ言い訳(いいわけ)ができない状況(じょうきょう)を作り出し(つくりだし)ます。「言い訳(いいわけ)」というのは、できないことや、やらなかったことの理由(りゆう)をいうことです。例(たと)えば、ヨガマットを敷(し)くのがめんどくさいとか、今日(きょう)はやる気(き)がでないとか。ですから、毎朝(まいあさ)エクササイズをしようと思ったら(おもったら)、寝る前(ねるまえ)にヨガマットを敷いて(しいて)おくとか、靴(くつ)を出(だ)しておくとか、できるだけ言い訳(いいわけ)ができない状況(じょうきょう)を作(つく)っておきます。
また時間(じかん)が長(なが)いと「時間(じかん)がないから」という言い訳(いいわけ)をしやすくなるので、短(みじか)い時間(じかん)に設定(せってい)しましょう。例(たと)えば毎朝(まいあさ)30分(さんじゅっぷん)のエクササイズをやろうと決(き)めるより、3分(さんぷん)や5分(ごふん)にしたほうがいいです。そのほうが「3分(さんぷん)だから、やろうかな」という気分(きぶん)になりませんか？　で、前回(ぜんかい)もお話(はな)ししたように、やる気(き)スイッチは「やらないとスイッチが入(はい)らない」ので、3分(さんぷん)でもちょっとやると調子(ちょうし)がいい時(とき)は「今日(きょう)は調子(ちょうし)がいいからもう少(すこ)しやろうかな？」とか、そんな感(かん)じで長(なが)い時間(じかん)できたりします。
また、もう一つ(ひとつ)のコツは1回(いっかい)や2回(にかい)あるいは1週間(いっしゅうかん)とかできなかったとしても、あきらめないで、また続(つづ)けることです。

Today, we’ll focus on the practical writing task, question 51,
and go over real test examples and strategies for high scores.
Let’s get started!

🧾 Part 1
Question 51 tests your ability to write short, practical sentences used in daily life.
The key is to write naturally and accurately according to the situation.

Examples include invitations to friends, announcements to colleagues,
or messages via email or text.
The tone and style change depending on the audience and purpose.

Let’s look at a past test example:

수미 씨,
지난번에 빌려간 책,
다 읽었으면 (ㄱ)반납해 주세요.
다른 사람이 기다릴 수 있습니다.
시간을 정해서 (ㄴ) 주시면 좋습니다.
연락 주세요.

In this task, you need to fill in blanks ㉠ and ㉡ with one sentence each.

Short, clear, and appropriate for the context.

📚 Part 2
From past exams, the types are usually:
Invitations → to a friend
Giving reasons → to a company
Making requests → to a friend
Announcements → to a company or school
If you remember these patterns, you can respond more quickly in the exam.

🎯 Part 3
Here are four strategies for a high score:
Skim quickly and find the purpose.
Adjust formality depending on the audience.
Write exactly one sentence per blank.
Review and correct mistakes at the end.

⚠️ Part 4
Don’t copy the text directly; rephrase it.
Pay attention to punctuation like periods and question marks.
If there are two blanks, write one complete sentence for each.
