Can you please tell me whether "one day" or "someday" is more commonly used to express wishes? Thank you!
For example,
I'd like to be a lecturer one day/someday.
I aspire to become a doctor one day/someday.
I hope I can be an actor one day/someday
There are interchangeable.
"One day" could be slightly more definitive connoting an unknown but precise day in one's imagined future whereas "someday" is more general.

I would say they are both equally used.

They're practically equal in this context. The only difference is, "one day" expresses a slightly more juvenile tone, while "some day" expresses a slightly more mature tone.
