We have a conversation so that I can get an idea of the general level of Dutch the student has already reached. On top of that I pay extra attention to specific things the student could make improvements on. I could cater for lessons adapted to those needs if the student would like me to do so.

Prior to the trial lesson we can discuss possible subjects the conversation will be about.

Example of what a BEGINNERS LESSON could comprise:

-1 We go over the alphabet, comprising the main pronunciation of syllables, consonants and diphthongs. I will intervene to put attention on the specific challenges that I hear the students can use more work on.

-2 We have a look at the words/phrases the student already knows and immediately apply to them the newly gained knowledge about pronunciation in step 1. This to get the student gain better grip on them.

-3 I list the personal pronouns and explain the use of them. / We go over a list of main verbs

Students on an INTERMEDIATE or more ADVANCED level can get their specific grammar questions answered in this type of individual lesson.

Individual: Beginner's Class/ Grammar for Intermediate to Advanced students.

Spreken, praten, palaveren, keuvelen, discussiëren, misschien bekvechten en ruzie maken, eventueel zelfs roddelen. 
We kunnen het hebben over van alles en nog wat.

I provide material that students need to use in a fictional situation, exercise or game. I myself act as a moderator who intervenes and explains when necessary. That way students can get confident and comfortable when engaging in conversations in a variety of situations. 

Duo lessons are about training conversational skills, but explanations about grammar, sentence structure, etcera can be comprised in the classes if needed.

In deze les focussen we op vaardigheden die de studenten in staat stellen om met een comfortabel gevoel gesprekken te voeren in het Nederlands. Mijn doel is om bij de leerlingen zelfvertrouwen te doen groeien om gesprekken aan te gaan in een veelheid aan situaties. 

Duolessen zijn gericht op het bouwen van gespreksvaardigheden, maar uitleg over grammatica, zinsstructuur enzovoort kunnen deel uitmaken van de les als dat nodig is. 

Voorbeeld: 
Ik voorzie materiaal dat de studenten moeten gebruiken in een fictieve situatie, een oefening of een spel. Ikzelf treed op als moderator die tussenkomt en uitleg verschaft wanneer dat nodig is.
