I have been teaching English since 1999 and shortly after obtained my CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching Accreditation) teaching qualification. I have taught in five different countries= the UK, Spain, Hungary, Vietnam and Malaysia; presently I am living in Budapest, Hungary. My motivation for teaching? There are two reasons why I enjoy teaching; firstly, the feeling of satisfaction when you have helped someone pass an examination, be successful in their career, a job interview or even learn a difficult piece of grammar. Secondly; I love the English language! I love thinking about it and considering the best way to teach it.

My first experience teaching was when I was 18 and I worked as a rock climbing instruction. Since then, I worked as a teaching assistant, primarily with SEN students, so I spent a lot of time working in small groups or 1-2-1 and would be happy to tutor anyone with additional needs. I have also spent time working as an Activity Leader at an International Summer School in the UK. As I said, I've just come back from India where I was teaching English at a school in Kerala. Having had classes of over 40, I loved making classes fun and engaging as well as getting to know my students and practising their English.
