I read Theology at Hughes Hall at the University of Cambridge and also trained as a teacher at the University and gained a P.G.C.E. and QTS. I have a CELTA qualification and taught in China for over 14 years and was an IELTS Examiner for 4 years with the British Council in the Southern China region (based in Shenzhen). My training and experience as an Examiner has given me a profound insight in how to prepare Candidates for all types of Academic Tests and I have helped many Students achieve their desired Test Scores in order to go on and study abroad.
I also teach the American Academic Tests: TOEFL, SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT.Che tipo di insegnante sono

Two years as an Examiner of the IELTS Test has given me a deep understanding of the requirements for the Test and Academic English Tests in general. I give detailed explanations of the Lexical and Grammatical Requirements for IELTS Speaking Test and how to structure the Speaking Part 2 'Long-Turn' and negotiate the 'Scripted' and 'Follow-Up Questions' in Part 3. I show students how to structure an academic essay: how to understand the question and use it to construct a Plan; what needs to be included in the Introduction; how to formulate clear Thesis and Topic Sentences; how to develop and expand ideas in the Main Body Paragraphs and how to summarize in the Conclusion.Il mio materiale didattico

We covered the main strategies for IELTS speaking part 2 and 3. After the lesson I got wider understanding about what the examiners are looking for and I was provided with all the materials to score a higher band. Overall, it was very informative and helpful session 🥰! Thanks a lot ☺️
