Through this, I learned that good teaching starts with understanding a mentee’s pace, emotions, and learning style. In one English mentoring case, I first observed how the mentee studied and where they felt most nervous. Then I created small, daily reading activities, chose materials that felt easy and familiar, and adjusted the pace week by week.This helped the mentee gain confidence and improve their English scores. Using this experience, I design personalized lessons on italki, carefully adjusting materials and activities to match each mentee’s needs.

I have a Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from one of the top universities in South Korea, and now as a tenured full-time professor, I teach and do research in the area of electrical and information engineering.
