Through my 8 years of experience, I have teaching expertise, a structured curriculum, and various resources (e.g. slides, vocab, homework, audio files). I can also adjust the lesson style and pace based on the student. I have received feedback from my previous students that the lessons are extremely fun and full of laughter, and that I flexibly respond to their particular interests. Through my 8 years of experience, I have worked with students ranging from complete beginners to high-level Korean speakers and have also taught TOPIK prep. For basic level students, I can explain Korean to you in English, but as the levels go up the lessons will be mostly in Korean :)

Professional Korean teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience Korean and English are very different languages. The way people say thing is different and the word order is also very different. (In Korean, the verb comes last). For example, in English, we say "What are you talking about?" But in Korean, we say "What kind of saying is it? (=무슨 말이에요?)" Also, in English, we say "Happy birthday." But in Korean, we say "Birthday congratulations (= 생일 축하해요)." Example like these show just how different English and Korean are. If we literally translate English to Korean, it sound very unnatural. So, when we study Korean, memorizing natural Korean sentences is very important. I will teach you how to make natural Korean sentences.

I have a lot of experience teaching Korean to foreigners and always enjoy it- I led numerous one-on-one sessions for American college students and taught Korean courses for American high school students as well as I had some one-on-one lessons with adults. I love to teach Korean because we can talk about many different things and share different ideas and perspectives. I think Learning a language is also learning the culture.
