I am certified to teach Japanese and currently teach at a language school in Taiwan and for private students. I teach general Japanese, business Japanese as well as exam preparation for JLPT, to students from various backgrounds. Some of my students started to learn with me from Hiragana, the most basic letters in this language, and some others are advanced learners who are required to use Japanese for their jobs. I can assist absolute beginner to highly advanced level students (including N5-N1 preparation), who are willing to manage aspects of their own learning. Thanks to many of my students, I have been become one of the most experienced Japanese teachers at italki. I use PPT and Word documents to explain grammar points, etc. in English. My native language is Japanese, but I am trained and qualified to teach in Australia and I feel more comfortable explaining Japanese in English. This approach can be especially helpful for English-speaking students. For advanced learners, I may use little to no English.
