Hallo, Leute! I'm looking for some German films to watch to improve my listening skill.
So far I've only watched Metropolis(1927) because it's a film classic and loved it.
I like weird movies in general...if I had to specify some genres, they would be psychological horror, mystery, action, violence, dark humor, films based on real events, and documentaries etc.
It would be awesome if you could introduce me to directors like Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarantino but German. haha

"Das Boot" is one of the scariest films I have ever seen in any language, and it isn't even a horror film :-)
I liked Red Baron and Stalingrad too. As you can see I do enjoy war movies :-)

I really enjoyed Run Zola Run. The director also made another really good movie called The Princess and the Warrior, although it is quite dark.
When I was younger I saw a movie called The Tin Drum which had a really powerful impact on me. And if you are interested in discovering great German directors, try some Werner Herzog films. Aguirre, Wrath of God is probably his best-known one.
