Here's a multiple-choice question on the difference between using "to" and "for":
Which sentence uses "to" and "for" clearly?
This letter is to you from my family.
I went for the store to buy groceries.
I studied English for improving my skills.
I made dinner for us to enjoy together.

The last one is a second good answer. "Dinner for us" could be the thing you made. "To enjoy together" could be an adverbial phrase stating why you made it.
