How should I pronounce "I still steal the steel"?
Hi all,
I'm not able to pronounce correctly the following sentence:
"I still steal the steel"
It seems a tongue-twister but it could be very useful to me in order to go deep in pronunciation.
Could you help me to understand how I can correctly say it? And could you give me some tips about these types of pronunciations?
You can also send me a vocal message with right pronunciation!
There is short vowel in "still". It is pronounced like ( hill, bill, mill etc)
"steal" and "steel" have long vowel and both are pronounced the same way.( sti:l )
It's vowel has sound like ( kneel, seal, feel etc)

"Steal" and "steel" are homophones - they sound exactly the same. Both have a long vowel sound.
"Still" has a short vowel sound.
All three words are stressed in the sentence. "I" and "the" are unstressed.

Your best bet would be to hear a native speaker say them, rather than trying to understand a written explanation. Check out www.forvo.com and search for any word you want :)

Actually all three are pronounced the same in normal speech. All with a short "i" sound.
