Irregular verb: hide/hid/hidden or hide/hid/hid I would like to know for american and canadian english :)

I'm assuming you're asking how to conjugate it? in America(the US) we use present tense; a living thing would be consciously hiding, an inanimate object would be hidden past tense: living things; hid/was hiding, inanimate object; was hidden You can also use hides if you're talking about someone else like: "She hides from people she doesn't like in public." A person could be hidden too but to hide from something, the action of hiding something is not really used for objects unless to personify it in a poem or other type of literature.

The past participle of 'hide' is always 'hidden', in both British and North American English. There is no regional variation. If someone says "I've hid it", they are just saying something that is grammatically incorrect.
