"Limp hair" is hair that just kind of hangs straight down. It doesn't have "body." It is usually considered unattractive. "Floppy hair" is a description that is usually used for teenage boys in boy bands, tv shows, and movies. (when it's used to describe someone older, it means that they still have a kind of boyish charm). It's part of what makes them cute. I've never heard a woman described as having floppy hair.

Limp hair is like hair when it is wet or oily and flat. Floppy hair would be bouncy and maybe even curly.

Lank hair indicates that it is weighed down by something. Like grease, or water, or....milk from the cornflakes bowl that was just dumped over your head. :-) Limp hair means it is fine, thin hair that hangs down naturally without much 'body' or volume, like small children have. People with thicker, but still limp hair, means that it may be clean, but it has no volume or life in it. None of these terms are negative, although 'limp' is used in the hair-care industry to sell products. Get rid of limp hair today! Floppy hair: If you look on Google Images and type in Floppy Hair Styles, you'll find it . I'll break the link down...see if this works: https://www.google.de/search?q=floppy+hairstyles&rlz=1C5CHFA_enDE771DE771 &tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa =X&ved=0ahUKEwjknoOc7YfZAhVBHRQKHZ3BD3cQsAQIJg&biw =1507&bih=903

Floppy hair is more a British usage for a type of haircut/ hair-do for men that Angela describes. Popular among actors, artists, young handsome men, and the sons of wealthy families. https://www.google.de/search?q=floppy+hairstyles&rlz=1C5CHFA_enDE771DE771&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjyoLCS54fZAhUJzKQKHUrHDXcQsAQIJg&biw=1507&bih=903
