We can use this with just about any verb to indicate doing something in a series of places or times. For example: I am WORKing MY WAY to a Master's degree. (I am doing things towards getting my degree.) She is EATing HER WAY a better body. (She is making choices about her diet to look slimmer.) The whole team was FIGHTing IT'S WAY towards the finish line. (The team is trying really hard to make it to the finish line.)
