this means he used words in a clever way to create a different, in this case funny meaning of a normal word for example.....this joke is playing with words " what is a blind dinosaur called?" and the answer is "do you think he saur us" this is playing with words because most of the names of dinosaurs end with saurus for example Tyrannosaurus Rex .so in this case they added saurus to create another meaning of the sentence which is: do you think he saw us.....-

A funny play on words ! The use of words or phrases to exploit ambiguities and innuendoes in their meaning, usually for humorous effect. Many times it is about words who have similar sounds. It is also called "pun" or " word play".It is like a joke and could make people laugh. So Tom didn't do something , he rather said something funny playing with the words. Here are 2 different kinds of word play: - I used to be twins. My mother has a picture of me when I was two. - What is the difference between a conductor and a teacher? The conductor minds the train and a teacher trains the mind.

A Funny play on words. This means you have used words out of context in a way that has an alternative meaning. For Example: Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana <- Here it is using the words "Flies like" in two different contexts. Flies like (as in how it moves in the air) Flies like (As in what the insect enjoys)
