Hello there. I was born and currently live in the Domincan Republic and I am married with a son. Whilst I have no formal teaching qualifications I have taught my British husband Spanish from no language skills at all to now being fluent and I also taught my son who is 14 to be bi lingual Spanish English. I think being able to converse in two or more languages is a real benefit in life and it would be my pleasure to help you on your Spanish language Journey. When I am not taking care of my family I like to exercise my mind and I am currently learning Korean. I enjoy cooking , walking and reading and my biggest joy is my garden especially growing and keeping Orchids of which I have over 150.Che tipo di insegnante sono
Whilst I have no formal qualifications in teaching I do have practical experience and have taught both my husband and son Spanish and both are now fluent. I am a community teacher and can help you with your conversation and also your pronunciation. I believe that teacher and student must have a real connection as without it I dont think any student can learn. Trust in someone who is teaching you is so important as it allows the student to relax and be at ease and once that is in place they can learn with no worry about being embarrassed if they make a mistake etc. I am the teacher that will do this.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My style of teaching is very informal and I think that with a more relaxed environment best results will come. I will make use of internet resources as well as Italki and we can read together and have many different conversations about a whole range of topics. This will help not only your range of vocabulary but also your pronunciation. If you do not like to be corrected then I suggest you look for another tutor. I think making mistakes is part of the learning process and therefore it is important that you are told. Being comfortable and having fun whilst you are learning is of paramount importance to me.Il mio materiale didattico

I recommend Yris as an exceptional, caring, teacher! She has a very clear accent that is easy to understand and she talks very slowly so you can understand her. She has a natural instinct on when you do not understand something which helps to facilitate a smooth communication process and understanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my Spanish practice with her.

He aprendido mucho de mis clases con Yris. Es fácil hablar con ella, positiva y alentadora. Además, me pone deberes que me ayudan a corregir mis puntos débiles. Realmente recomiendo aprender español con ella.
