I am an English Speaking South African lady. I speak two other languages, Afrikaans and French. I have worked in various fields, including working as a voice-over artist, and running a private kindergarten. I also have a background in the Medical field whilst working under different fields of Medicine. My hobbies include amongst other things, reading, watching movies, baking, and staying current with global news and current affairs. I really enjoy meeting new people especially from different walks of life and different cultures. I am really passionate about teaching people. When teaching English as a second language, you need to have a lot of patience and make the lessons fun and interactive. In my lessons I try to breakaway from the traditional monotonous classroom style setting of being taught.
I bring enthusiasm and passion when dealing with young learners (level A2 and above) and adults who need to learn English whether it be for day to day conversations or even for business purposes. The most important need of any student, is the need to put into practice all the rules of grammar and vocabulary that they have been taught and the only way to do this is to speak as often as possible. So by using broader topics outside of the traditional ESL (English Second Language) classroom topics, I bring in extra vocabulary, phrasal verbs and idioms relevant to the particular theme, thereby making it easier to understand, within the proper context, and by so doing enhancing the students ability to speak English more naturally. I also help students prepare for their IELTS tests. Lessons are adapted to the students particular needs, to make it as easy and as natural to understand.Il mio materiale didattico

I can 100 percent recommend Rita and so I am happy to share my positive learning experiences. Rita is a very good teacher. She prepares each lesson carefully and tailors it to the student's needs and learning pace. My lessons were interesting, varied and fun. Time always flew by. We worked with texts and sometimes even a quiz. The learning atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Rita motivates and provides plenty of speaking opportunities. So she made me talkactive. She sent me all the documents we used in class. I learnt valuable idioms, expressions and vocabulary. Rita is very reliable and her techniques work well. I am looking forward to more lessons.

Rita is the best English teacher I’ve ever had in my life. She is patient, very professional, and she always finds interesting topics that really keep you engaged in the conversation. She is very careful with pronunciation and is always paying attention to your mistakes to help you avoid making them again.
