Ruri るり

Ruri sensei has honestly helped my confidence so much. For so long I’ve been so scared to learn Japanese despite it being my life goal. As someone with a learning disability I was always scared that I would never be able to become fluent. Ruri sensei not only encourages me but she teaches me in ways that are so easy to understand. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants her students to learn in the most positive environment. I can’t thank her & recommend her enough!!! 🤍

Rurii has been the perfect teacher for me, always helping me learn more, always making the classes fun and interesting, I've learned so much with her and I've been able to break down the language barrier and make Japanese friends and enjoy Japanese media, the kindest teacher I've even come across, with fluency in Spanish, English and of course, Japanese, she taught me Japanese from all of those perspectives,I am truly thankful for all of the effort she's put to help me learn! in my opinion as a teacher she's 10/10 and as a person she is 20/10

I had a really good time in my lesson today with るり先生! I have been really busy lately and had forgotten to do my homework last week, so I had a lot to make up for this week's lesson. I'm really grateful that るり先生 went over the large amount of writing that I had done with me and helped me make corrections where I had made mistakes or to help make the sentences sound more natural. I appreciate her patience in spending so much of the class going over homework. After covering the homework, we started doing exercises for last week's grammar covering 時 in Genki 2. I felt a little shaky about one of the use cases because I feel like it isn't really heavily mentioned in the book but after having a quick refresh with るり先生, I felt a lot more comfortable as we started going through the exercises. I'm glad that we had spent time covering it more since I feel like it's a really useful expression that I think I'll be using a lot :)

This was my last class of 2023 with Ruri, and started taking classes with her in February of this same year!! Time flies when you are really comfortable 😊 I've noticed an exponential growth in my Japanese level ever since I started studying with Ruri. Even on days I don't feel very confident with my Japanese, after I take a class with her I feel so much better and super motivated to continue to learn. She also teaches me so many cultural aspects from Japan which I love (understanding the culture that surrounds a language is so important to me). I promise no one would regret trying a class with her, there are very few teachers with her ability!! So so sooo kind, professional, organised and adapts quickly. I feel like I won the teacher lottery with Ruri. 本当にいつもありがとうございます、るり先生 🩵 メリークリスマスと新年あけましておめでとうございます 🎉🎉

This is my fourth lesson with Ruri Sensei and I going to book many more. I learn so much everytime.

I had a great class with るり先生 today! Today, we spent our time in speaking practice talking about some of the travel she did recently as well as talking about office amenities like saunas! I'd never heard of offices having saunas so available as well as how much some places in Japan like saunas to the point of having sauna buses even. After our speaking practice, we went over the grammar for using とき, to describe when something took place. I feel like Genki I introduces it but never explains it so I was glad to learn how to use it properly. The way that るり先生 broke down the different use cases was really helpful for me. She also spent time reinforcing how the usage fits a situation and context which I really liked. I'm also really grateful for how patient and understanding るり先生 is, I've had a really busy week and on top of that totally forgot to do my homework. As always she was really supportive and said it'd be fine to have it for next week.
