My name is Paloma. I have been teaching language and literature for nine years. I am also doing a phd in Medieval Greek Literature, and I teach Ancient Greek in the University of Buenos Aires. I love talking about culture and literature.
In my free time I am a volunteer in an NGO, I do aerial acrobatics and I like travelling.

Mi nombre es Paloma. Trabajo como profesora hace nueve años, estoy haciendo un doctorado en Literatura Griega Medieval y soy profesora de griego en la UBA. Me encanta conversar sobre cultura y literatura.

Before our first class, I ask you to answer some leveling questions to identify what aspects we need to improve and class by class we work on the weak points through different strategies. I do not use handbooks, the material is always adapted to you.

Antes de nuestra primera clase, te pido que respondas unas preguntas de nivelación para identificar qué aspectos debemos mejorar y clase a clase vamos trabajando sobre los puntos débiles a través de diferentes estrategias. I have experience as a private teacher as well as in groups. I create my own teaching material. I also adapt to your needs, for example if you want to learn the language to travel, prepare an exam or enter to any University.

No uso manuales. Tengo diseñadas clases para diferentes objetivos, pero me adapto a tus necesidades, por ejemplo si querés aprender el idioma para viajar o a las exigencias de los exámenes que debas preparar o la Universidad a la que quieras ingresar.

I would highly recommend Paloma as a Spanish teacher, having completed weekly lessons with her over over the last six months.
Paloma has always been flexible and willing to accomodate my learning needs and schedule. We completed both structured lessons, for which she was always well prepared, providing materials beforehand, as well as more casual lessons focused on speaking. Paloma also weaves lessons about culture and daily life in Argentina into her classes, which adds valuable context.

I've had several lessons with Paloma so far. Her topics are well prepared and she always makes time for me to practice speaking with her. She speaks slowly and carefully so that I can understand and always is willing to repeat anything if I don't understand the first time. I would definitely recommend Paloma if you are interested in learning Spanish.
*She also has great taste in films.

Paloma was a very good and engaging tutor! I felt very comfortable practicing speaking with her in our trial lesson. Just scheduled another lesson for this week!
