I am Richard Halim, a graduate student from Blitar, Indonesia, and I am ready to guide you as you explore this wonderful language.
I have experience as an exchange student and have guided fellow exchange students from around the globe. My passion lies in sharing about Indonesia with people from other countries and exploring new cultures and languages.

To immerse my students, I occasionally conduct virtual tours using Google Street View, where I can introduce them to Indonesian street signs, adverts, and other interesting aspects that are rarely discussed in formal lesson plans.
I can teach Bahasa Indonesia to both beginner and intermediate-level students. With various teaching tools and materials, I am confident that regardless of your proficiency level, you will be able to pick up interesting tips and tricks about Bahasa Indonesia with me.

Laurea triennale - Human Resources and multiculturalism in a global companyAs a part of my undergraduate program, I was able to attend an online winter school exchange program held by KAMK Finland.
I got to improve my networking skills as well as get to know more about Human Resources within a global context

Laurea triennale - Entrepreneurship - Business CreationWith entrepreneurship studies, I got to do a lot of public speaking training as part of my marketing course, both public speaking in Bahasa Indonesia, and English. I am also a certified senior student mentor and a campus ambassador.
With my experience at the campus, I am also trusted to represent Indonesia and my campus in multiple international forums throughout the duration of my study.

I really enjoy Richard’s teaching style. He’s friendly, approachable, and easy-going, which makes learning with him a comfortable experience. His teaching is clear and well-structured, and after each class, he sends me all the materials in a Google Doc format, so I can easily access them anytime. We started with basic greetings, and now we’ve moved on to numbers and currency. With each lesson, I’m learning more and more, and it’s great because Richard is an excellent teacher.

Guru Richard is an excellent teacher. He is extremely patient, able to answer questions very clearly, customizes classes to your needs and learning style and is very sincere. I’ve had around 5 or so classes with him and I’m continually impressed. I highly recommend you give his class a try!!!

Richard uses stories based upon actual things that might happen in real life events and conversations, to progress proficiency and vocabulary.
I wish I could more readily remember some of the words; so I need to study harder!
