Hello! I'm Jessica Rebekah, born and raised in South Africa and now living in New Zealand since 2011. I love teaching, and have been teaching on italki since 2018. It makes me happy to see people improving their English!
I have also taught myself Hebrew so I can completely understand what it is like to learn a foreign language. It's taken a lot of dedication and time, but I have experienced a lot of joy and satisfaction in my language learning journey, and that is how it should be.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have been helping people with English online around the world since 2014 (and on italki since 2018) focusing on conversational, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and reading skills. I have a TEFL certificate (Teaching English to Foreign Learners) and IELTS speaking certificate.
Learning English should be enjoyable. There may be days when you might feel discouraged or unmotivated, but that should never stop you from achieving your dream.
Important to note - I teach my students with respect and courtesy and appreciate it when they treat me the same.

Based on what is best for each of my students I use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and personal experience.
Every person learns differently and is gifted in their own unique ways so whether you are a fast or slow learner if you're determined, you will learn! I'm patient and understanding with my students.
In all of my lessons, there will be grammar and pronunciation corrections - It's okay to make mistakes because that is part of learning, but we don't want to create bad habits.
I like to understand my students' strengths and weaknesses so that I can help you with your language needs.

I am having a great experience learning English with Jessica. I learn English in a fun way. Jessica is incredibly good at asking questions and encouraging me to speak English, and her feedback is invaluable to me. She corrects my speaking, and that is truly a treasure for me.
