Hello! My name is Pelin, I'm from Türkiye, and I'm a certified Turkish language teacher :)
Merhaba! Ben Pelin, Türküm, ve sertifikalı bir Türkçe öğretmeniyim :)
I'm fascinated by all things about languages, especially my native-tongue Turkish. With this motivation, I pursued a Linguistics MA degree in Switzerland. Now still living in Switzerland, I am learning German and I understand what you, as a language-learner, are going through.
I am excited to meet you and help you in your journey of discovering the Turkish language!

I am an open-minded teacher who is ready to listen to your needs and your feedback. A language lesson will not succeed if we are not addressing your goals, or not taking account of your unique learning style.
Thanks to my previous education, I'm highly knowledgeable with the structure of Turkish (and English) and I can provide you not only with a grammar rule, but the explanation as well. My lessons with you will be communicative, interactive, and fun! After getting to know each other in our first meeting, I will consider your needs and get prepared for our next meeting accordingly.
If you need a conversational class, I'll provide prompts and topics to talk about, and give you the necessary corrections. If your need is some grammar practice, we can do some exercises together and I can explain the linguistic rules of Turkish. Perhaps your challenge is with vocabulary, then I can provide you material to acquire and practice words of interest.

Pelin is a highly committed and engaged teacher with profound knowledge of how her native language functions. My learning style is quite abstract, and Pelin has a gift for explaining grammar rules and other curiosities.

I had my first ever Turkish lesson with Pelin, and I greatly appreciated her preparation as well as ability to relate to my background. She was great at pinpointing areas I was struggling with already, such as reading some of the letters, while seeing where I didn't need an explanation on something so we could move on. I'm really looking forward to continuing!

I've had a great second lesson with Pelin. After the first one, she sent homework that was just perfect for me to strengthen the material we took; and she even took the time to make cards with new words personalised to me. The new lesson today was also successful and fun.

Pelin is a very nice and understanding teacher. The first lesson went great, we've taken a lot of material and revised things I didn't remember well. Looking forward to the next class :)

Pelin demonstrated excellent understanding and preparation when interacting with my son, who is quite shy. She was attentive, patient, and made a real effort to help him engage in a comfortable and positive way. I highly recommend her
