I teach French in private lessons, and I'm also a philosophy teacher in high-school and at university.
Native speaker, with a classic metropolitan accent. Now on a sabbatical, living in London.

I like to make the lessons fun and interesting for both of us. Listening and speaking is always a great way to start, in a hands-on approach. I like every lesson to have a real-life topic, as well as specific linguistic objectives.

First lesson: we will discuss your objectives, assess your starting point and determine how much time you can dedicate to learning French.
I will then build a tailored course-plan with an ad-hoc progression.
I like to use resources to support our lessons: videos, newspaper articles, works of art, etc.
I'm also used to writing down a summary of the language points on a shared document, so that you can come back to it in between lessons.Il mio materiale didattico

Alexandre is a dedicated, organized and patient teacher. Our lessons have been challenging yet engaging, and he always ensures that my interests are incorporated in our classes. Fantastic lesson, where Alexandre quickly was able to assess where I was at and what I wanted to practice, and then provided an interesting structured activity as a framework for conversation. Clear explanations, positive feedback and some excellent recommendations as well. Highly recommend!

I just had my first lesson with Alexandre and I loved it! He gave me so many chances to speak French and chose a topic that matched my interests perfectly. I was also surprised that even though I talked a lot, he still could give me great feedbacks! He really pays attention to every detail and really tries to build the lesson around what I like. Really appreciate that! I’m definitely booking another session with him!

I've really enjoyed my French lessons with Alexandre. His patience makes learning feel comfortable, even when I make mistakes.
