My name is Elise and although I'm originally from the Netherlands, I currently live in Switzerland. Over a year ago I graduated as a neuropsychologist. Besides this interesting job, I love languages and I love to teach. My current hobbies include ballroom dancing, cooking, reading, swimming, hiking, and collecting more hobbies. ;) I'm looking forward to meeting you! I would describe myself as an enthusiastic, open, and friendly teacher. My goal is to not only teach you Dutch but also create a fun lesson. I learned that although the safest option to learn a language is watching videos, reading books, listening to music or cramming vocabulary and grammar, the most effective way to learn a language is combining these with actually speaking a language. It doesn't matter if you make mistakes, or if your pronunciation is imperfect. We learn from our mistakes, and the golden ticket to fluency is speaking, speaking, speaking.
Besides conversations I have with my students in Dutch to practice their speaking skills, I'm very happy to focus a little on grammar, pronunciation, or writing skills as well.5.0

Een hele leuke les. Elise spreekt altijd op het juiste niveau en gaat goed voorbereid de les in. Ze stelt veel vragen en geeft voorbeelden. Gezellige sfeer.

I had a trial lesson with Elise. I enjoyed it. She has a great personality. She is knowledgeable, calm, positive, and structured. She was prepared for the lesson, explained the structure of her classes, went through the grammar, and did some exercises.
