I have been teaching since 1984 and have a PGCE teaching qualification. Almost all of my English teaching has been with university students and staff (I ran teacher training courses for non-native English teachers). I have taught mainly pre-intermediate to higher intermediate level English and in addition to this helped students prepare for IELTS and Cambridge CAE exams. I am a recognised CAE Speaking examiner. Having said that, on Italki my lessons are all about English conversation - I do not do examination preparation classes. I am a very relaxed teacher and this is reflected in my classes.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I retired from classroom teaching in 2015 and since September of 2016 have taught online with Italki - I love meeting new friends and helping them achieve their goals. I use my lessons on here to advise on English Speaking - focusing mainly on speed, intonation, pronunciation and communication skills. I do not give coaching lessons for exam preparation but firmly believe that time spent with me will help anyone feel more confident in any speaking and listening situation.
* New Students - please read. I don't accept package requests from new students without first having a 'trial' or 'single' lesson with them first. This is so we can get to know each other and the way I conduct my classes.Il mio materiale didattico
