Hello, I'm Stephen. I would love to help you learn English! 😀🌎
I only work with kind and respectful people. 😉
Before getting a package, please schedule a single lesson so we can see if we're a good fit. It's very important that we share the same learning/teaching preferences and feel comfortable with each other to get the most out of our lessons. :)
A little about me:
I have extensive training in business related areas such as career planning, sales, customer service, and interviewing. 💼
I'm an expert in emotional intelligence, leadership, relationships, conflict management, and overcoming emotional blocks. 💡Che tipo di insegnante sono
During our lessons, we will have fun! ️🎉
We will:
- Practice conversation (freely or with planned topics)
- Learn new vocabulary (useful phrasal verbs, idioms, etc..)
- Work on mistakes (pronunciation, word choice, grammar)
- Focus on Business English
- Practice difficult grammar tenses

I'll share a Google doc with you where I put new vocabulary, corrections, recommendations, and homework assignments. 🖋
I take notes during our lessons to keep track of what we’ve already worked on and to plan what to work on next. ️️📓

My teaching strategy is based on the scientific research done by Stephen Krashen. This research shows that we learn languages by receiving “comprehensible input”. (Messages that we understand through listening or reading) The fastest way to learn English is also the most fun--listening and reading for pleasure.

I grew up with a father who was a brilliant counselor. He started teaching me about emotional intelligence when I was 9 years old. The older I became, the more he taught me about psychology and counseling. He oversaw and guided my work when I got my first clients as an adult.
2015 - 2016
SupervisorI was responsible for all of the activity on the driveway in front of a hotel. I would greet guests, call taxis, handle the occasional problem and manage those under my supervision.
2018 - 2019
AttendantI've worked in 4 different hostels as an attendant. 1 was in Portugal, 1 in Chile, & 2 in Panama. I was responsible for checking people in, accepting payment, answering the phone, giving directions, etc... These experiences helped me to greatly improve my Spanish and Portuguese skills. It was a wonderful experience!

Sales ConsultantI had to approach strangers and talk about the gym. My mentor has a lot of experience in sales and taught me a lot about it.

No one could ever have a better teacher than Stephen! He teaches my son since Dec 2021 and I really appreciate that Stephen always encourages him. My son changed a lot, not only his knowledge improved but his confidence as well. I'm so grateful that we were so lucky to choose him to be our teacher.

Great Class!
Stephen is a great teacher as well as a great friend, he is really humorous also passion about teaching. He could always make sure I got lots of practice during the classes !
He helped me a lot with my interview preparation. I learned a lot about how to tell a good story and polish my personal style. I developed my spoken English a lot and finally got the offer from my dream company !!!

Today I learned new expression, I discovered some strange rules that we have here in Brazil to foreigners and how to pronounce "Wednesday" hahaha, really great conversation! He helps me a lot to increase my self-confidence. If you have the same fear to speak as I do, you need this guy! =D I never saw a bad expression when I said something very awkward to him hahaha. You are the man, Stephen!
