I am from the UK and have been teaching English as a Foreign Language for over 15 years. I am a trained secondary school teacher with Qualified Teacher Status from the British Department of Education. This means I am qualified to teach lessons which follow the National British Curriculum both in primary and secondary education.
Aside from national teaching I also have a CELTA qualification and have taught English as a foreign language to both adults and children. I believe being a teacher turned tutor enables me to provide more structured and tailored lessons as I have a lot of experience and best practice which I can draw upon.Che tipo di insegnante sono
My lessons aim to make students feel as confident as possible in their target language whilst also enjoying a relaxed learning environment. Lessons are tailored to students' needs and requirements and regular feedback and homework assignments are given. I am a strong advocate for linguistic immersion in the target language so students who work with me tend to increase their fluency very quickly.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
Prior to starting I will be in contact in order to find out if you have any specific learning goals or requirements which you would like to focus on in class. Our first lesson will then focus on assessing your lesson and deciding together what the next steps will be on your language learning journey. I currently offer the following courses:

Katharine's lessons are so dynamic that time flies and you regret not having booked a 1,5h class. She prepares good materials to keep the class interesting, along with effective activities to encourage you to speak and actively participate. If it is something you appreciate, on many occasions she may also ask you to choose the topic of the lesson.
Something I totally enjoyed is have the chance to discuss topics in-depth so that I could learn and use some advanced vocabulary, which is not often the case when you hang out with foreign friends.
I'll cross my fingers for the Cambridge exam!
