I cannot recommend Filippo enough as an Italian teacher! His teaching style is not only engaging but also incredibly effective. We not only talk about a wide range of topics but also discuss films and learn new words, which has significantly improved my vocabulary. I had a great second lesson with Filippo! Filippo has a true passion for film that really shines through, and his cinema-focused lessons are a great way to both learn more about film (especially Italian film) and also have a new and interesting topic to cover in each class. Filippo is very prepared for each lesson and even sends discussion questions in advance to offer an opportunity for additional writing practice or help prepare for discussion. He does a great job facilitating discussion during the lesson and provides a good balance of letting the conversation flow and giving feedback. Would definitely recommend, especially for intermediate/advanced learners who are looking for additional exposure to native materials/natural dialogue through film. Grazie mille!

The class is very interesting and useful. Filippo will give some questions for film and correct the answers before the class. Then we will discuss some arguments about the film and own perspectives in Italian. It is such a good time to have lesson with Filippo! Highly recommend!

What I really like about Filippo is that he's a real professional. He's always on time and prepared for the classes. He's ready to share additional materials and uses extra tools to enable more effective studying. His "Learning Italian with Films" classes are engaging. This way you (at least me) have more motivation to watch content in Italian outside of the classes, and you get to discuss interesting topics from those films, improving your skill of describing and explaining things. Highly recommend Filippo!
