Hello everyone!
My name is Elena and Russian is my native language. Currently I am in Amman, Jordan. I studied history and anthropology in Russia. Someday I dream to continue my research and start a Ph.D.)
I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language for about 5 years. Teaching and supervising are my passion, apart from Russian I have been teaching history and creative writing.
I am interested in literature, contemporary poetry, history, teaching, volunteering, anthropology, traveling, gender studies, and language learning. Also, I started to do yoga recently. We can discuss difficult, academic subjects, or just chat about everyday topics.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I teach Russian as a foreign language for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. I have worked with a range of levels, ages, and abilities.
I try to create a pleasant, friendly atmosphere in my lessons. I know that Russian is an intricate language, and it is highly significant to feel welcome while learning.
I see myself not only as a teacher but also as a kind of curator. It is crucial to set small goals together with the students. Their achievements motivate and show results. I conduct classes in English or Russian depending on a student’s language level
The most important thing for me is to find an individual approach for each student. I build a study program depending on your requests
Most of my lessons are based on a method of practice. Also, I like to explain Russian grammar, but if you are interested only in speaking practice, we can leave this subject out. I provide you with homework, but of course, I understand if you don't have time for it.Il mio materiale didattico

It's wonderful to (try to) talk in Russian with Elena about subjects like flight shaming, the political situation in Armenia, the names of our chicken and Romanian-French poet Paul Celan.

Elena is an inspiring person and an excellent teacher. Especially if you want to discuss themes that really matter, she's more or less perfect. If there would be more people like Elena, this place would be a better and more peaceful place.
