Before booking a lesson, please take a few minutes to fill in my contact form, which can be done in any of the languages I speak. The more you share, the better I can prepare and personalize my lesson structure and teaching style!
I believe that language learning is always a personal journey, which, most importantly, should be enjoyable! I'm not a big proponent of old-school bookish teaching but rather invite my students to explore new, personalized methods and figure out together what works best for them.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
Every class is tailor-made and customized to your level. My target group is self-motivated adults, ranging from complete beginners to native-fluent perfectionists, always in consideration of your individual goals, needs and preferences.
During my lessons, I encourage my students to speak as much as possible - ideally in the target language ;-) However, if you're just a beginner or don't feel ready to hold an entire conversation in German yet, don't worry! The lessons can also be held in English, Spanish, Italian, French or Portuguese, at your preference. We will then gradually increase the ratio at your pace and without any pressure :-)Il mio materiale didattico

Not sure how many lessons I have done with Vanessa but they have been game changing.
Recently took my B2 exam and.....I passed! 80 out of 100 for speaking (and I even misunderstood the question ha).
As a teacher, its so hard to find the balance between interrupting someone and letting them speak. Vanessa has the perfect balance for this. Here are some other things I love about working with Vanessa,
- Grammar queen : She really does know all the technical components of the language. Its not just a chat, there is a real breakdown.
- Writing review: When we review my writing, she offers new words, sentence structures, explanations. I have noticed that I am a better speaker because of this.
- Hard work: She works so much (too much!) and therefore I really have a lot of days and times. This is great as I too need a lot of flexibility. She often sends me great material.
I could write so much more, in summary - One of the best teachers on Italki, HIGHLY recommend.

Hello fellow students! I've been taking lessons from Vanessa for more than two months. I highly recommend her to you. She has helped me progress in the language and I'm happy with how far I've come from not knowing any Gernan two months ago to where I am now. What I really want to post about though is how much I've struggled with feeling self-conscious actually speaking in German and how great Vanessa has been with me in that regard. I have been so nervous about speaking that I've frozen up during a lesson but Vanessa has been so kind and understanding. Taking lessons from her specifically is helping me to overcome this. She has been empathetic and has gently helped me see mistakes as a fun part of language acquisition; because of this I have been able to continue learning. With a less perceptive teacher I might have felt too embarrassed to keep taking lessons. I am thankful.
