Hello. I’m Barbara. I’m American and I’m a native English speaker, with a master’s degree and a TESOL certificate to teach English to people who speak other languages. I have been teaching general English, business English, and special needs English to students of all levels, from ages 2 to 83, since 1998. I have taught everyone from small children to older kids to teenagers to employees from many international corporations. I can also correct all types of English texts, and translate texts from French to English because I speak French, too. I have also been a professional storyteller and in my spare time I write and illustrate picture books for children, which I sell on Amazon.Che tipo di insegnante sono

I've been learning English with Barbara for several years (5), so my teenage son did. It's wonderful. I adored Barbara since I'd heard her speech here on iTalki and chose her as my teacher. And I didn't regret about it a single lesson. Barbara is a strong and powerful speaker with a huge carisma, but she managed to be a delicate, sensitive companion for conversation and she's very good and sympathetic with children. My son considers her as a one more grandma for their 5-year communication. My child, starting learning English with Barbara when he was 7, now feels himself very freely in English and I think it's a one of the greatest results of their work - where weren't exams, marks and other stressful things, just playing, fun and interesting thing. I strongly recommend Barbara as a teacher for both adults and children.

Barbara is an excellent teacher! She provide both a great mix of listening, speaking and practical learning activities and a very safe learning environment. She uses the time so effective so you can get the most out of the lesson. She’s great at building confidence and ready to discuss any topic you’d like to.

My daughter saw my son having an English lesson with Ms. Barbara and said she wanted to have a lesson with her too. So, she had her first lesson recently. My daughter is still young and not yet fluent in English, but Ms. Barbara kindly taught her with great patience. Since my daughter loves cats, Ms. Barbara showed her pictures of cats to prompt questions and guided her to express herself in different ways. Barbara is an excellent teacher, and I am always grateful to her.
