Hi, I’m Thuong! I teach both Northern and Southern Vietnamese dialects. I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, but my parents are from the North, giving me fluency in both accents.

As a highly qualified and experienced teacher, I specialize in both Northern and Southern Vietnamese accents.
My lessons are meticulously crafted to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Each session includes a one-hour Skype meeting, supplemented by Google Docs, audio files, videos, images, and engaging activities to make learning fun and interactive.

If you are a beginner, first I will help to build your foundation with proper Vietnamese pronunciation. After each lesson, you will be sent a revision video and an online flashcard set to solidate your knowledge at home.
If you are an intermediate student, I will send you some of my suggested Vietnamese songs or short movies after class.
Reviewing is part of your homework, and I will check it before every lesson to ensure you remember how to use words and phrases naturally.

Thuong Nguyen is a very cheerful teacher! I had a great first lesson with her where we learned about different Vietnamese foods and how to order them. We did a lot of role play and had a lot of fun in different situations. She is patient, explains things very clearly and is very good with technology. Even though this was just a Informal lesson, she prepared a lot of things and while the lesson was in session was able to add pictures and vocab to a shared document that she shared with me at the end. Definitely will be booking more lessons with her!

Through her structured classes, Thương has helped me continue my journey, improving my level of Vietnamese from level 3 to level 4 in just 3 months with an additional 27 classes. With her academic qualifications, professional language teaching background as well as proficient level of English, she is always albe to answers my specific questions on grammar, meaning and pronunciation.
