Hello everyone! I'm Joe and I'm from Birmingham, in the centre of England. I love to talk to new people and find out all about your lives, countries and cultures. My interests are wide and varied, but especially... Languages, Travelling, Music (only listening, I'm not talented!) Art (appreciating and creating my own), Current Affairs, Politics and Religion Psychology My choices in education reflect my wide interests- finished school with Psychology and Politics, then went to do an Art and Design course while studying Japanese and then degree in International Business with Russian language... I'm confident that whoever you are we will find something interesting to talk about!

Che tipo di insegnante sono

I really love to teach people- it's so rewarding seeing and hearing people increase in confidence and ability in English. I'm TEFL and IELTS qualified and have professional experience teaching teenagers and adults. I've worked for a couple of years in Eastern and Central Europe, mainly in Poland and Ukraine. I can also help you with Interview Skills to get that great new job! I am quite quiet and patient and will help you become just understandable or perfect with your English- whatever your aim is. The most important thing for me is that you feel as relaxed in a lesson as possible! I fully understand how it is to be in your shoes!! But I will definitely help you to start talking!

Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

When learning languages I have always found the speaking part to be the most difficult (and stressful) so I prefer to focus on this skill in lessons to build confidence in the quickest way. We can talk about anything and everything so that you find it interesting and engaging. Of course, it's also down to you as everyone is different- we can discuss grammar, pronunciation, exercises and I can give you some listening practice. If you would like homework, we can work through a textbook, use targeted worksheets or prepare a speech. The first lesson we can get to know each other, find out your level, interests and aims, try things out and then we can design plans especially for you.
