I am from the United States but I'm currently living in Cebu City, Philippines where I have been living since 2014. As a teacher at an English school here, most of my students are from Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other countries in Asia. I enjoy learning about the cultures of my students and understanding why they are working to learn English!
My reason for teaching here on iTalki is the reward I get when I see my students feeling great about their improvements in communication and how that helps them in their lives.
My other areas of passion; I love my family, food (both eating and cooking), travelling to new places, learning about cultures, spending time in nature. I love life!Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have worked as an ESL teacher the past two years with students from beginner level English to advanced; from as young as 6 years old all the way to an amazing 74 year old Japanese woman who decided to learn so she could travel the world more easily!
I'm positive, patient, flexible, kind, and will help you to get comfortable speaking English! I believe the best way for me to help you learn faster is to encourage you to make more mistakes faster and to constantly be improving my ability to give useful feedback so you will want to keep going faster.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I offer a range of prepared lesson agendas such as:
- focus on specific grammar points
- listening/comprehension practice
- improving pronunciation
- enhancing your vocabulary
For my regular students I offer customized lessons and help with specific needs such as preparing for a test, etc.
Of course, for any of my students, practicing unrehearsed conversations is a very good idea and something I encourage frequently.Il mio materiale didattico
