Hi! I’m Emma, a native English speaker from the US currently studying art and psychology. I enjoy spending my time on a wide range of hobbies, from reading and learning languages, to paddle boarding and hiking. I also love watching movies, drawing, cooking, traveling, and learning musical instruments like the violin. So no matter your interests, I’m sure we can find that we have something in common to talk about during our conversation lessons. As a teacher, I’m very patient, and I always place my student’s comfort as my top priority, so that they can feel relaxed and confident enough to converse in English and improve their skills.
I've tutored several friends in English, and I also have many years of experience studying a variety of languages here on Italki.

During my conversation lessons, I keep students involved and engaged by asking questions about a variety of topics, depending on the student’s interests and capabilities.
We may talk about

- Or language learning goals
I also like to share my screen so that I can type notes into a personalized Google Document for each student.
Depending on the goals of my student, I can take note of:
- Errors the student makes
- A vocabulary list of useful words for more fluid conversation
- Grammar explanations
