I am a native speaker from the North of Germany, but have been living in England since 2004. I love travelling, and I am very interested in languages and learning about different cultures and traditions. I also love food and walking my Border Collie on the beach! Before coming to England I also lived in Switzerland, Italy and Spain and spent a year in Australia after finishing university. In addition, I have travelled extensively to see as much of the world as I can and continue to do so. I now live in beautiful Cornwall on the South West coast of England.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I really enjoy teaching German and seeing my students progress. I have been teaching German since 2012 and my students are all ages and levels. From complete beginners to C2 students, and from those preparing for an exam to those who would just like to learn a few sentences before their holidays. I am very flexible and friendly, and I understand completely how difficult it can be to learn a new language - I have been there myself. In 2019, I completed the Level 3 Award in Adult Education and Training to give me additional knowledge about all elements of teaching students who are 16 years and older. My lessons are tailor-made to the student's requirements, and I always suggest booking a trial first so we can have a chat about your current German skills and what you would like to achieve. In my lessons, I like to use a variety of teaching materials to keep it interesting and address all learning styles. We might be using books, online articles, video and audio snippets as well as role play, quizzes, games and of course a lot of conversation so you can practise your German skills. I like for my students to feel relaxed and at ease during lessons because learning a new language should be fun.Il mio materiale didattico

Just had my first lesson with Britta. She is definitely what I'm looking for in a tutor to improve my German! The lesson
was structured with helpful materials. She is very knowledgeable, and she gives helpful feedback with concrete explanations.

Britta is a wonderful teacher. She has been my daughter's teacher for the best part of four years now and my daughter has continually made great progress, regularly topping her class in German. The extra practice each week, invaluable. Importantly, Brittany has helped maintain the motivation. Never easy with teenagers, even less easy with German. Moreover, Britta has been really easy to work with, flexible, accessible and with excellent communication. We've never had an issue. A rare gem of a teacher. Thanks, Britta, for everything!

Always such a pleasure to have a lesson with Britta. The structure of the lesson is great - speaking, grammar, reading, pronunciation, new vocabulary. I feel I really improve my language skills.

Britta is an excellent teacher. She and our daughter have worked together for three years now with wonderful results. Most recently with our daughter attaining an A+ grade in both spoken and written German in her end of year exams. The weekly lessons with Britta have made all the difference to school without overly adding to her homework workload.
