Hello!
My name is Jen and I've been an online ESL teacher for 8 amazing years. 👩🏼🏫
I'm a Johannesburg born South African 🇿🇦 living in the beautiful city of Pretoria. South Africa is known for it's rich cultural diversity and gorgeous landscapes, so put it on your travel bucket list if you enjoy exploration the way I do!
I love talking about food 🍕 and different cultural cuisine and since I began my teaching journey, I've grown a strong passion for travel and learning about other cultures, which has allowed me to meet some of my wonderful students!

I'm a confidence focused teacher.
As English is taught around the world 🌍 most English students have a sufficient English foundation without the practice required to feel confident enough speaking the language.
But this does not mean there is no place for beginners in my classroom, throughout my career, I have taught students from beginner to Advanced, from the age of 6 to 76, every student is welcome!
I'm excited to hear your ideas and will support you with possible language and grammar if you get stuck.

Jen is really responsible, responsive and attentive teacher. If you want my opinion I would recommend Jen. And yes now I can express my self easily as you can see. That's never happened before.

Jen is such a wonderful teacher! She is always present, attentive, very supportive, caring and simply has a great personality. I’ve been having classes with her for a long time, I sometimes think we have discussed every single topic on earth but there’s always something new to talk about. Thanks Jen 🤗

Jen is a is an incredibly collaborative and supportive teacher. She consistently encourages me to speak in English, which has significantly boosted my confidence and fluency. What I particularly love about her teaching style is her willingness to discuss completely random and diverse topics, which not only keeps the lessons engaging but also greatly expands my vocabulary. She is extremely polite, dedicated, and genuinely concerned about my development, both professionally and personally. Her commitment to her students' growth is evident in every lesson, making her an invaluable mentor and educator.
