I'm Andrea a jolly Italian living in Varese, Italy. I spent 10 years in London, Manchester and Belfast-U.K. and I've still have strong roots and personal ties with the British Isles and their great inhabitants. I love and value freedom..that's why I'm not married :) I'm keen on traveling solo, learning new languages (I also speak a decent Spanish, little French and some Polish) doing sports, cooking, dancing ,meditating, walking in the nature, playing the didgeridoo/ bongos .I've been recently taking up the Indian "Basuri" flute which I'm slowly starting to play properly. And guess what?..just like doing sports and playing music..the secret is practice, practice, and more practice! ;)

Che tipo di insegnante sono

I've been teaching English(also Italian to foreigners) and collaborating with private Institutes in Italy since 2005. I'm self self-employed with all the pros and cons of that. I have gathered a wide range of experience varying from secondary school students to private One-to-One lesson with the C.E.O of an International well-know Italian Company (Bticino), teaching also the "Italian Tax and Border "Police; conversation classes in High schools; companies adult classes of Business English ; preparing pupils and adults for different kind of exams and certificates, private tutoring, etc etc. Passion, joy and meeting new human beings are the reasons why I keep loving my job!

Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento

I enjoy to tailor made lessons and courses according to the student needs and create with him/her a a bond that goes beyond the pure and simple relationship teacher/student since I think this can also greatly help his/her growth in the matter. For instance in conversation classes I like to have lessons on a wide variety of topics aimed at developing functional language or promoting discussion while for the grammar ones I tend to teach different techniques, an extensive selection of lesson plans and worksheets, innovative ideas and materials to try to make grammar fun. In business E. teaching skills as emailing, telephoning, meetings and presentations are just the starting point.

Andrea is a great teacher! He has helped me improve my comprehension skills and has provided opportunities for me to practice conversational skills. I appreciate that he sends me YouTube videos to watch between lessons to continue working on my comprehension skills. They also provide some structure for our discussion the following week and give opportunities for me to learn new vocabulary.
