I am a family guy: have two kids, a dog and a beautiful wife. I love to write and to teach. I like comics, music, movies and videogames. Yup, I am a nerd. I have some blue ribbons on writing: poetry, journalist articles, and the sort.
I have two grades (Journalist and Philology) and three master grades.
One limitation, to avoid misunderstandings, I only teach adults now.Che tipo di insegnante sono
Teaching is a late calling for me.
In July, 2010, I obtained the Master in Teaching (Bolonia endorsed). I had been a support teacher in Middle and High Schools, an English teacher in Spain and a teacher of Spanish abroad (a year and a half in Norway as a ‘spansklærer’), and this year I was offered the chance to become a teacher in the Spanish Department in the Southern Federal University at Rostov on Don (Yu-Fu).
Tough as I said I had experience teaching kids and youngsters, right now I dont want to have this kind of students and less if it is unannounced and without giving me the chance to decide if I want them or not (two experiences of the sort lately)Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
A language is something beyond grammar and spelling. It is the Culture (and the culture) of its people, it is to learn to understand how 45 million Spaniards and over 400 million people all over the world live and think and relate to each other. I want to open this world to my students. Therefore I will offer them a journey through Spanish history, arts, and societyto raise their imagination and feed their minds. A most rewarding occupation.
I adapt my lessons to my pupils/students, I focus on a conversation-based approach, but I can also teach grammar and vocabulary. If you have any material that you need to discuss, I am willing to work it out with you.Il mio materiale didattico

Rafa is a wonderful teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable, knows several languages, and has a warm, lively personality that made me feel like I was chatting with a friend from the first time we met. I learned a lot of colorful Spanish expressions from him, as well as many facts about Spanish culture and society. Un besote, Rafa, ¡ojalá nos veamos en Andalucía!

Rafa is a great conversationalist and I had a great first lesson! We talked about many different things - from philosophy, to films, and music, while laughing the whole time. It was a great time and I'm looking forward to having another chat soon. Highly recommended!! :)

Couldn't have asked for a more inspiring lesson centred on poetry and history. I feel very priveidged to be having lessons with such an intelligent and knowledgable teacher who makes learning so meaningful and entralling. I highly recommend Rafa to anyone who has a serious interest in understanding the Spanish language, history and culture.

Excelent teacher, with clear diction. Rafa is a natural communicator. I was put at ease from the moment the lesson began. The class was interesting and varied and I learnt a great deal from the methods Rafa used to help me improve and remember vocabulary and grammar points.. I couldn't have asked more from a lesson. It was dynamic and extremely informative. Looking forward to booking regular classes.
