I've been working as a Danish teacher since 2018. I have a Master's degree in Danish language and literature from the University of Southern Denmark, and I am trained in second-language learning and acquisition from Copenhagen University.
Please note that the availability in my profile only reflects my general working schedule, but it doesn't ensure that I am available, since I have other professional activities. This is also why I had to turn auto-booking off and we will have to use the chat to book lessons. I acquired my love for Danish as well as Classical languages from my paternal grandmother, who was a Danish and History teacher for many years.
At some times during my university studies, I had to study Latin on my own because very few people chose that minor. I often felt stuck and thought about quitting, but I tried to find the patience and I explored different methods in order to learn.
As a person, I am very patient, and it is important for me that you feel comfortable showing me your difficulties and giving your opinion.Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
My lessons can focus on different aspects depending on your level and goals. For instance:
- lessons for beginners,
- improving grammar and orthography,
- increasing general or specific vocabulary,
- improving pronunciation and conversational skills,
- improving writing skills and style (academic writing or business writing),
- learning about Danish culture.
I can teach both adults and children and I have experience preparing students for Prøve i Dansk 2 & 3 and Studieprøven.
I use a variety of teaching materials and tools such as slides, traditional grammars, texts of varying difficulty, interactive whiteboard, flashcards and quizzes. I can also send short lecture notes after each class.Il mio materiale didattico

Sarah listened closely to what I wanted in my lesson and adapted to meet that. She also kindly, but clearly corrected me when I made errors. Very helpful all around!

Sarah is a most knowledgeable, kind, and patient teacher who is able to adjust her teaching to the student’s needs. She is exactly the kind of instructor I was searching for to learn and practice pronunciation, and to explain grammar rules. The examples she provides make sense and really help me move forward with my language learning. I look forward to continuing to learn from her.
