Sofia Arista ✈

It’s been nearly five years (wow) and I still love every class with Sofia! She is always well organised and brings energy to each lesson. Recomendaría sus clases a cualquiera, a cualquier nivel. Gracias, Sofía!

I've been taking lessons with Sofía for over a year now and she is one of the best tutors on the platform. I asked her to help introduce me to more Latin American literature, and she's gone above and beyond to introduce me to famous writers as well as those known in smaller circles. My reading comprehension has skyrocketed after our classes and I've gone from struggling heavily with Spanish texts to being able to now comfortably read the majority of what I come across. I could always count on her to come to class on time and to be well-prepared. Despite her considerable knowledge of Spanish grammar concepts, literature analysis, and Latin American world history, she never came across as a "know-it-all", and instead was so patient, kind, and easygoing. Every lesson felt like a lesson with a friend (who makes you feel smarter by proxy, lol!). Sofía is a truly great professor who you will not regret spending time with. ¡Gracias, Sofía!

This is my first review of Sofia. I imagine if you're reading this, you're wondering how to select a tutor to teach you. If you're looking for someone who is experienced, prepared for each class, supportive as you work through the process of making mistakes and building on your knowledge, and someone who makes learning Spanish fun, look no further than Sofia. She's terrific!

I’ve tried many teachers on italki and other platforms, and Sofia is one of the best. Most other teachers either have no lesson plan or they strictly follow a boring workbook, whereas Sofia’s classes are very dynamic and you can tell she cares a lot about your progress. She’s always on time, with good internet, and will try to accommodate to your schedule. Since she is also a big traveler herself, she can relate to a lot of travel experiences around the world and knows what it’s like to navigate through different languages and cultures. I highly recommend Sofia as a teacher and thanks to her, my standards for recognizing high quality teachers has increased.

We spent a half of our class talking about the general subjects and reviewed the article that was provided by Sofia. The article was very interesting and we discussed politics and segregations. It was a very interesting discussions and I appreciate her profound knowledge and high standards
