I feel so fortunate to have found Carolina. She is the best! Works with me at my level towards my goals. She uses really good materials that are very helpful. I am always happy to have had a lesson with Carolina. Siempre cinco Estrellas!

Outstanding. I chose Carolina because of how clearly she spoke in her video, making it easy for me to understand her. I also was impressed that she is a journalist. I could tell that she was a nice person. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in our first lesson. I'm going begin regular lessons with her immediately.

This week, Carolina and I observe 6 years studying together. Recently we marked 250 lessons together. She is such an expert at explaining things and finding suitable resources that I sense I could continue studying with her for years and still keep learning--because she is constantly learning herself, not only with her native language, but 11 other languages at the same time. The best teacher is a lifelong student, and she exemplifies that perfectly.

I often say similar things about my lessons with Carolina, because they're consistently true. She works me hard. I feel like my brain is getting a workout. We pick difficult material and it's slow going, but I'm learning steadily. I'm learning about the legal system in Colombia and the standards of evidence, and I'm not involved in police or legal work--these are simply topics that have caught my interest in looking at other aspects of Colombian social life. Wherever you are in your studies of Spanish, Carolina can take you higher, at whatever pace you're ready for.

Recently I took a short test through iTalki, with the goal of filling in blanks in sentences with the correct word or verb form. It confirmed that I'm at C2 level, though this is a narrow field, and that I scored higher than 95% of Spanish students in this program. That's pretty affirming and a lot of this is due to Carolina! We had some open conversation, then continued with our list of "intelligent verbs" which is an interesting process. The teacher arrived a little late today, but it was beyond her control. There was a huge traffic jam in her city, and instead of the usual 1-1/2 to 2 hours that it takes her to get home from work, it took 3-1/2 hours. That became one of our topics of conversation. That's like traveling to another city!

Carolina y yo estamos revisando una lista de los "verbos inteligentes," es decir, verbos que tienen diferentes significados en diferentes contextos. A lo largo de nuestro tiempo juntos, había períodos en los cuáles hemos profundizado las palabras intensamente, y esto es uno de los períodos. Me gusta mucho esta actividad, ella es experta como periodista y estudiante de muchos idiomas, y en realidad es una de mis actividades favoritas con ella. Y sí, he recomendado esta profesora excelente a varios otros estudiantes.
