Hello! I’m Yukari. I’m a qualified Japanese teacher.
I grew up in Tokyo and Yokohama. I speak standard Japanese.
I started my professional life as an editor in a publishing company and wrote a book as a ghostwriter. Since I moved to France where I live now, I have worked in marketing. My interests in language, communication and interacting with other people from all over the world led me to become a teacher.
I have a curious mind. The fields that interest me include but are not limited to science, art and architecture. Outside of teaching, my life is filled with yoga practice, playing the piano and swimming. When I go on holiday, I like embracing nature by hiking, sea swimming or skiing.Che tipo di insegnante sono
Creativity and curiosity. I draw not only on my knowledge of Japanese as a teacher but also on the communication skills that I gained through my professional work to harness students' curiosity. I do my best to make my lessons engaging and set up a relaxed environment so that my students can speak freely.

My lessons are tailored to meet each student’s objectives, learning style and interests. I teach adults (aged 16 and over) of all levels.

Another wonderful lesson with Yukari-sensei. She always takes the time to explain the nuances of words and expressions I don't know and tailors our exercises around my strengths and weaknesses. I feel more confident with each lesson. 心を込めてありがとうございます、由香里先生！

Another great lesson with Yukari sensei! The textbook we are using is very good, but what makes it even better is that she supplements the material with deeper explanations of the grammar lessons and specific examples of more commonly used Japanese phrases and vocabulary. Very excited about my Japanese language journey!

Yukari sensei is an excellent language teacher all around! She is extremely knowledgeable, adapting each lesson while incorporating language and cultural nuances into the lesson. I appreciate that she is very patient and encouraging when I make mistakes and it is clear that she truly cares and gets excited when she can see improvement in your learning. There are many good teachers on italki, but Yukari sensei definitely stands out. I am starting to feel more confident when speaking and I am so grateful that she is my teacher!

Encore un cours très riche avec Yukari sensei où nous avons travaillé les intonations et le pitch accent en japonais. Yukari sensei est très encourageante et m'aide à prendre confiance dans mon expression orale. ありがとうございます！
